Our recruiting team will review your application and On Demand interview to see if your skills, experience, location, and pay requirements match our needs.

Check your email inbox, junk folder, text messages, and voicemails regularly to ensure you’re receiving PSC’s communications regarding the status of your application and/or interview requests.

Can I submit more than one application?

Yes, you can apply to multiple openings at any time based on your qualifications and interests.

What can I do to make my application stand out to your recruiters?

Be sure to provide us with thorough, detailed, up-to-date information about your employment history, going back five years or your three most recent jobs (including company names, job responsibilities, dates employed, and reasons for leaving). Include your phone number and an email address that you check on a regular basis.

Do you have any tips to help me prepare for an interview?
  • In an interview, be sure to be descriptive about the job responsibilities of your current and/or previous positions.
  • Your interview time is valuable. Please arrive on time to ensure we have sufficient time to conduct the interview.
  • We encourage you to ask any questions that you may have about the position you applied for and our company.
I’ve applied to numerous jobs and still haven’t been selected. Why?

Listed below are some of the most common reasons why candidates are not chosen for an interview:

  • Incomplete application / missing information
  • Overqualified for the position / pay expectations are too high
  • Did not meet the minimum requirements of the job (specific skills, experience, and/or requirements listed in the job description, valid driver’s license, etc.)
  • Home address is too far from the work location
Do I need a valid Driver’s License to work for PSC?

Most sites where we work require a valid driver’s license. Make sure you check the “Job Requirements” section in the job description for each position you’re applying for to ensure you meet all requirements.

Do I need a TWIC Card?

At many of the sites where we work, our customers require our employees to have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential, also known as TWIC®. The TWIC is required by the Maritime Transportation Security Act for workers who need access to secure areas of the nation’s maritime facilities and vessels. TSA conducts a security threat assessment (background check) to determine a person’s eligibility and issues the credential. U.S. citizens and immigrants in certain immigration categories may apply for the credential.

LEARN MORE ABOUT TWIC

You do not need a TWIC to apply or to be considered for employment with PSC Group. However, because it can take 3-8 weeks or longer to obtain a TWIC, you may decide to apply for one now in case you are selected for employment at a TWIC-required site. NOTE: It is critical that you bring the required identity/immigration documentation to the in-person TWIC enrollment.

Please note that any costs associated with obtaining a TWIC are the applicant’s responsibility, not PSC’s. Also, obtaining a TWIC is not a guarantee of employment with PSC or with a customer that requires all site personnel to have a TWIC.

Will I have to take a drug test?

Applicants for employment with PSC Group will be required to undergo pre-employment screenings for drugs and alcohol. The testing procedures and other background check requirements vary depending on the work location and/or job duties, and per our customer contracts.

Make sure you check the “Job Qualifications” section of the job description for each job you apply for, to view the drug screen and background requirements.

Do I need to provide my own PPE?
  • PSC employees may be required to obtain a pair of lace up, steel-toe work boots.
  • PSC employees will receive a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves and any other PPE that is required to perform the job safely.
  • If your site requires uniforms and/or flame-retardant clothing (FRCs), they will be provided at no cost at the time of hire.
What are the work hours?

The work hours/schedule vary from site to site and by specific roles. Please refer to the job posting for more specifics regarding the schedule.

How often do employees get paid?

Most employees are paid every two weeks. The pay dates vary by work group/site location.

What benefits are offered and when are new employees eligible for benefits?

PSC Group offers a comprehensive package of Benefits to help employees and their families maintain health and well-being, save money, and better prepare for the future. Unless stated otherwise, employees are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following the date of hire.
